If you ever have the opportunity to get together with Jere Johnson, do it! I had such a wonderful time getting to know Jere better this week as we dined at Smokehaus in New Haven for lunch. Even though our first time meeting face-to-face was just this April, we discovered many connections we had--through friends, church family, our childrens' school, and of course through Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU.)
Jere's role at IWU is Corporate Representative, but what that really means to him is connecting with individuals and organizations in the community to see how IWU can help their team members shine brighter. In his "free time" Jere and his brother, Jim, founded First Fridays which is a mini-conference provided free to the public on the first Friday of each month (through the school year.) First Fridays has exploded since it's birth in 2017 and is now found in three cities: Fort Wayne, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis.
If you couldn't already tell, Jere is passionate about leadership, helping others grow, and connecting. He appreciates transparency and honesty and I'm pleased to call him friend!
